Vontimitta / Tirupati, April 2, 2026 – As part of the Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple, Vontimitta, the grand Rathotsavam (chariot festival) was conducted on Thursday with exceptional splendour and deep devotion. The festival drew a large gathering of devotees, all eager to witness Lord Kodandarama blessing them from the chariot along with Sita and Lakshmana.
Beginning at 10:30 a.m., the Lord and His consorts ascended the beautifully decorated chariot and travelled through the village streets, blessing devotees along the route. The procession was accompanied by bhajan groups, devotional songs, and energetic kolatam performances, which filled the entire atmosphere with spiritual energy and festive cheer. Devotees pulled the chariot with reverence and offered camphor harati at every step, turning the event into a vivid celebration of faith.
The Rathotsavam carries deep spiritual meaning. It symbolises the soul as the rider, the body as the chariot, the intellect as the charioteer, the mind as the reins, the senses as the horses, and worldly objects as the streets. In this way, the festival serves as a reminder of the journey toward self‑realisation and the distinction between the self and the non‑self.
The event was attended by TTD Additional EO Sri C.H. Venkayya Chowdary, JEOs Sri V. Veerabrahmam and Dr. A. Sharath, Deputy EO Smt. Prashanthi, Temple Inspector Sri Naveen, engineering officials, and a large number of devotees.

ఒంటిమిట్టలో భక్తి వైభవంతో రథోత్సవం – భక్తులను మంత్రముగ్ధులను చేసిన శ్రీ కోదండరామస్వామి
ఒంటిమిట్ట / తిరుపతి, ఏప్రిల్ 2, 2026 – ఒంటిమిట్టలోని శ్రీ కోదండరామస్వామి వారి ఆలయంలో జరుగుతున్న శ్రీరామ నవమి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల భాగంగా, గురువారం రథోత్సవం అంగరంగ వైభవంగా నిర్వహించారు. శ్రీ కోదండరామస్వామి వారు సీతా లక్ష్మణ సమేతంగా రథంపై విరాజిల్లుతూ భక్తులకు దర్శనమిచ్చారు.
ఉదయం 10:30 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమైన ఈ రథోత్సవంలో స్వామి వారు అలంకరించిన రథంపై గ్రామ వీధుల వెంట విహరించి భక్తులను ఆశీర్వదించారు. మార్గమధ్యంలో భజన బృందాలు, భక్తిగీతాలు, కొలాటం ప్రదర్శనలు కార్యక్రమాన్ని మరింత భక్తివాతావరణంతో నింపాయి. భక్తులు భక్తిశ్రద్ధలతో రథాన్ని లాగుతూ, ప్రతి అడుగులో కర్పూర హారతి సమర్పించారు.
రథోత్సవానికి గొప్ప ఆధ్యాత్మిక అర్థం ఉంది. ఇందులో ఆత్మను రథసారథిగా, శరీరాన్ని రథంగా, బుద్ధిని సారథిగా, మనస్సును పగ్గాలుగా, ఇంద్రియాలను గుర్రాలుగా, లోక విషయాలను వీధులుగా ప్రతీకాత్మకంగా భావిస్తారు. ఈ ఉత్సవం ఆత్మ మరియు అనాత్మ మధ్య భేదాన్ని గ్రహించడానికి మార్గదర్శకంగా నిలుస్తుంది.
