Tirumala, 31 March 2026 – For the convenience of devotees, repair work on the BT (Bitumen Tarmac) road along the first Ghat road (from Tirumala to Tirupati) is progressing rapidly. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken special measures to carry out these repairs without fully closing the Ghat Road, ensuring that devotees can still travel while work is in progress.
However, due to ongoing repairs, traffic may move slowly, with short stops at intervals along the Down Ghat road. In this context, TTD has issued an appeal to devotees to exercise extra caution while driving, maintain lower speeds, and remain patient as the repair teams complete their work within the stipulated time.
TTD specifically advises devotees planning to travel from Tirumala to Renigunta Airport, Tirupati Railway Station, and the RDC Bus Stand to make advance travel arrangements, such as booking transport in advance and starting their journey earlier, to avoid getting stuck in delays. The trust also requests devotees to cooperate with TTD authorities and traffic staff so that the First Ghat BT road works can be completed smoothly and safely for the benefit of all Srivari devotees.
The temple trust reiterates that the road will remain open but with limited speed and movement, and devotees are urged to plan extra time in their schedules, especially during peak darshan or festival hours.
