Tirumala, 31 March 2026 – The Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Abdul Nazeer, visited Tirumala on Tuesday and had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy along with his family members. The Governor’s visit to the hill temple added a significant constitutional and cultural touch to the ongoing temple calendar, which includes Vasanthotsavams and other major sevas in the region.

On his arrival at the temple Mahadwaram (main entrance), the Hon’ble Governor was received by TTD Executive Officer Sri Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, and CVSO Sri Murali Krishna. The temple priests accorded him a traditional welcome, performing Istikapal temple honours, a customary ritual gesture of respect extended to distinguished guests at Tirumala.
After the Sri Venkateswara darshan, Vedic scholars offered Vedasirvachanam (Vedic blessings) to the Governor at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, a historic mandapam located near the main temple complex. On this occasion, the EO and Additional EO presented the Governor with Theertha Prasadams and a portrait of Sri Venkateswara, symbolizing the temple’s gratitude and blessing in return.
