Vontimitta / Tirupati, April 5, 2026 – The Pushpa Yagam Mahotsavam of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple, Vontimitta was conducted with great devotion on Sunday evening. The sacred floral offering began at 6:00 PM, bringing the Brahmotsavam celebrations to a spiritually rich close.
The day began with Suprabhatam, followed by temple purification rituals and daily worship. During the Pushpa Yagam, varieties of flowers and sacred leaves such as tulasi, jasmine, roses, chrysanthemums, oleander, champak, and mogali leaves were offered as Pushpa Neerajanam to the Lord and Goddess. Around 3 tons of flowers were received as donations from devotees in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
Priests explained that Pushpa Yagam is performed to seek relief from natural calamities, to bring peace and prosperity to devotees, and to please Mother Earth. It is also considered an act of atonement for any unintentional lapses in daily temple rituals, with the sacred offering believed to remove doshas and bring auspicious results.
TTD Board Member Sri Sadasiva Rao, Deputy EO Smt. Prasanthi, Temple Inspector Sri Naveen, temple priests, and a large number of devotees participated in the event. The atmosphere remained devotional throughout the ritual, with Vedic chants and floral offerings creating a serene and festive setting.
పుష్పయాగంలో భక్తి సుగంధం – ఒంటిమిట్ట శ్రీ కోదండరామస్వామి దివ్య వైభవం
వొంటిమిట్ట / తిరుపతి, ఏప్రిల్ 5, 2026 – ఒంటిమిట్ట శ్రీ కోదండరామస్వామి ఆలయంలో పుష్పయాగ మహోత్సవం అత్యంత భక్తిశ్రద్ధలతో ఆదివారం సాయంత్రం నిర్వహించబడింది. సాయంత్రం 6:00 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమైన ఈ పుష్పార్చనతో బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు ఆధ్యాత్మికంగా ఘనంగా ముగిశాయి.
ఆ రోజు సుప్రభాతంతో ప్రారంభమై, తరువాత ఆలయ శుద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలు, నిత్య పూజలు జరిగాయి. పుష్పయాగంలో తులసి, మల్లె, రోజా, చామంతి, గన్నేరు, సంపంగి, మొగలి ఆకులు వంటి అనేక పుష్పాలు, పత్రాలతో పుష్ప నైరాజనం సమర్పించారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తమిళనాడు, కర్ణాటక రాష్ట్రాల నుండి సుమారు 3 టన్నుల పూలు విరాళంగా వచ్చాయి.
పూజారుల ప్రకారం, పుష్పయాగం ప్రకృతి విపత్తుల నుంచి రక్షణ, భక్తులకు శాంతి‑సౌఖ్యం, ఐశ్వర్యం కలగాలనే సంకల్పంతో, అలాగే భూమాతను ప్రసన్నం చేయడానికి నిర్వహిస్తారు. నిత్య పూజల్లో ఏర్పడే అజ్ఞాత లోపాలకు ప్రాయశ్చిత్తంగా కూడా ఈ ఆచారం చేయబడుతుంది; దీనివల్ల దోషాలు నివారించి, శుభఫలితాలు లభిస్తాయని విశ్వాసం.
