Vontimitta / Tirupati, March 30, 2026 – The Sri Kodandaramaswamy Kalyanotsavam at Vontimitta will be celebrated in full grandeur, and all concerned departments must work together in close coordination to ensure its smooth conduct, Kadapa district In‑charge Minister Smt. Savitha has said. She called on officials from TTD, the district administration, and the police department to ensure that devotees do not face any hardship during the major festival event.

Minister Savitha chaired a review meeting on Monday afternoon at the TTD meeting hall in Vontimitta, where she held discussions with collectors, TTD executives, and police officials on preparations for the Kalyanotsavam scheduled for April 1, 2026. The meeting focused particularly on arrangements for the ceremony in which Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu and his wife will present silk apparel (Pattu Vastram) to the presiding deities during the Kalyanotsavam.
During the meeting, District Collector Sri Cherukuri Sridhar, TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna, and other officials gave a detailed presentation to the Minister on the current status of arrangements, including crowd management, traffic regulation, security, sanitation, drinking water, temporary shelters, and medical facilities. Minister Savitha instructed all officers to utilize past experiences and lessons from previous Kalyanotsavams to avoid recurring issues and to implement long‑term improvements where necessary.
Key instructions to officials

Coordination among departments: The Minister emphasized that TTD, district administration, and police must function as a single, integrated team, with clear communication channels and contingency plans.
-
Devotee comfort and safety: Officials were directed to ensure that devotees do not face long, unorganized queues, traffic jams, or lack of basic amenities such as water, sanitation, or medical aid.
-
On‑ground preparedness: The Minister asked officers to conduct on‑site inspections at the temple and surrounding areas, identify bottlenecks in advance, and deploy staff at critical points along the procession route and assembling areas.
-
Traffic and crowd control: The traffic department and police were asked to prepare multiple entry‑exit plans, use temporary barricades, and deploy adequate personnel to manage the expected large influx of pilgrims from Kadapa, Tirupati, and neighbouring districts.
