Tirumala, June 5, 2026: TTD Executive Officer Sri M. Ravichandra stated that yoga is one of the most effective practices for achieving mental peace, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
On Friday, the EO reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21, 2026, along with senior officials at the Sudharma Meeting Hall in Sri Padmavathi Guest House, Tirumala.
Yoga Essential for Physical and Mental Well-Being
Addressing the officials, Sri Ravichandra emphasized that yoga helps reduce stress, anxiety and lifestyle-related health issues while contributing to overall personality development.
He noted that yoga is suitable for people of all age groups and plays a vital role in maintaining physical health, mental balance and emotional well-being.
Daily Yoga Awareness Programmes from June 7 to 21
The EO directed officials to organize special yoga awareness and training programmes every day from June 7 to June 21 under the aegis of TTD.
The programmes aim to encourage people from different sections of society to adopt yoga as a regular part of their lives.
Special Yoga Training for Various Groups
TTD will organize dedicated yoga sessions for:
- TTD Employees
- Women Employees
- Students
- Youth
- Senior Citizens
- Hospital Patients
The EO stressed that yoga promotion should continue throughout the year and not remain limited to a single annual event.
Collaboration with Leading Yoga and Spiritual Organizations
For the successful conduct of International Yoga Day, TTD will coordinate with several renowned organizations, including:
- Isha Foundation
- Patanjali Yogpeeth
- Ramachandra Mission
- Brahma Kumaris
- TTD SV Ayurvedic Hospital
These organizations will support awareness programmes, training sessions and large-scale participation initiatives.
Focus on Students and Educational Institutions
Sri Ravichandra instructed officials to conduct special awareness programmes in schools and colleges to inspire students to develop an interest in yoga from an early age.
He said that introducing yoga to children can help build healthier lifestyles and stronger mental resilience.
