Tirumala, August 20, 2026: The 1053rd Avatara Mahotsavam of renowned Vaishnavite Acharya Sri Tirumala Nambi was celebrated grandly on Thursday at the Sri Tirumala Nambi Temple on South Mada Street in Tirumala.
Vedic and Devotional Recitations
As part of the celebrations, Vedic scholars rendered Veda Parayanam, Prabandha Parayanam and Ramayanam, along with recitations from various epics and Puranas in a melodious manner.
The devotional recitations highlighted the spiritual legacy and contributions of Sri Tirumala Nambi, a revered Acharya in the Sri Vaishnava tradition.
Descendants of Tirumala Nambi Participate
Sri T.K. Seshadri Swamy and Sri T.K. Mukunda Tatacharyulu, descendants of Tirumala Nambi, along with other members of the Tirumala Nambi lineage, participated in the celebrations.
Scholars to Speak on Tirumala Nambi’s Life
On August 21 morning, the first-bell Naivedyam of Lord Venkateswara will be offered to Tirumala Nambi.
Subsequently, 16 eminent scholars will deliver discourses on the life and spiritual contributions of Sri Tirumala Nambi.
