Tirupati, 17 April 2026 – TTD Joint Executive Officer (Health & Education) Dr. A. Sharat visited the under‑construction new building of the Sri Padmavathi Children’s Super Specialty Hospital in Tirupati on Friday, 17 April 2026 and instructed the concerned engineering and medical officials that the structure must be completed within the stipulated deadline. During the inspection, he reviewed the progress of civil works and reviewed the schedule of pending activities.

Model rooms on each floor:
The JEO directed that one room per floor should be developed as a “model unit” and fully equipped with engineering, electrical, fire‑safety, and medical‑equipment facilities, as a template for all other rooms in the hospital. -
Uniform standards in all rooms:
He stressed that all patient‑rooms and function‑rooms should be provided with infrastructure facilities strictly as per the approved layout and design, ensuring uniform quality and safety. -
Fast‑track completion of pending works:
The JEO directed various departments to coordinate with each other and expedite the completion of pending works, including structural, MEP (mechanical‑electrical‑plumbing), and medical‑equipment‑related civil works. -
Best‑practice benchmarking:
He asked officials to collect reports on best‑practice models from renowned children’s hospitals and implement proven protocols for patient care, infection control, and advanced medical‑equipment deployment.
On‑site review and helipad inspection

After inspecting the 6‑floor hospital structure, the JEO moved to the uppermost floor, where a helipad is being installed, and offered specific suggestions to ensure it serves as an emergency access‑point for critically ill children arriving by air. This helipad is planned to cut down logistics time for organ‑transplant and critical‑care transports.

He then held a review meeting with officials near the hospital campus, where the overall schedule for commissioning the hospital services was discussed; if construction adheres to the current pace, the hospital is expected to be fully operational in the coming months.

హెలిప్యాడ్ ముఖ్య ప్రయోజనం:
భవనం పై అంతస్తులో ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్న హెలిప్యాడ్ను కూడా పరిశీలించి, విమానాల ద్వారా వచ్చే అత్యవసర చిన్నపిల్లలకు త్వరగా ట్రీట్మెంట్ అందించడానికి ఇది ఎంతో ఉపయోగపడుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు; హృదయ, కాలేయ, మూత్రపిండ, బోన్మ్యారో ట్రాన్స్ప్లాంట్ వంటి అవయవ మార్పిడి ఆపరేషన్లకు అవసరమైన అవయవాలను హెలికాప్టర్ ద్వారా వేగంగా తరలించవచ్చని ఆయన వివరించారు.
