Tirumala, 24 April 2026 – Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has set up 16 dedicated medical aid centres across Tirumala to ensure immediate and round‑the‑clock healthcare for pilgrims visiting Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple. These centres are strategically located along the crowded darshan paths and accommodation complexes to provide first‑aid and emergency care within minutes of a medical emergency.

Key medical centres and locations
-
At the heart of the system is Ashwini Hospital, the main medical facility, with the Apollo Heart Centre functioning as its specialised cardiac‑care wing, providing critical support for hypertension and heart‑related cases among devotees.
-
Other key medical centres operate 24 hours at:
-
Vaikuntam Queue Complex – Complex I & II (near integrated AI Command Control Centre and opposite compartment‑6),
-
Kalayana Katta, RTC Circle, PAC‑5, Srivari Temple,
-
Alipiri footpath at 1500 steps, Galigopuram, and the Naarayangiri Sheds area during peak‑rush days.
-
-
Additional daytime centres (8:00 AM–8:00 PM) function at:
-
Matrushri Tarigonda Vengamma Annam Prasadam Centre, PAC‑2, Alipiri Padala Mandapam, 7th Mile, Bhashyakara Sannidhi, and
-
Silathoranam and Seva Sadan entrance on high‑crowd days.
-
A separate centre at 1200 steps on the Srivari Mettu (footpath) runs from 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.
-
-
During Brahmotsavams, two temporary medical centres are added at Ram Bagicha‑1 and Papavinasanam to handle the surge in footfall.
Mobile services, staffing, and patient load
-
TTD has also deployed mobile first‑aid units and kept 9 ambulances on standby to ferry critically ill pilgrims to Ashwini Hospital or SVIMS in Tirupati.
-
A total of 128 personnel – 8 doctors and 120 paramedical staff – work in rotational shifts to ensure uninterrupted service around the clock.
-
On average, these 16 centres provide essential medical care to about 2,400 pilgrims per day, handling dehydration, exhaustion, heat‑related illnesses, fainting, and minor injuries typical in crowded darshan‑queues.
This integrated medical‑response network underscores TTD’s focus on devotee‑safety as a top priority, especially in extreme‑weather and festival‑rush conditions.
