Tirumala, June 13, 2026: Leading automobile manufacturer Ashok Leyland Limited donated a truck worth ₹31,72,532 to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Saturday.
The donation is expected to strengthen transportation and service-related activities undertaken by TTD for the benefit of pilgrims visiting Tirumala and Tirupati.
Special Prayers Before Formal Handover
Before the vehicle was officially handed over, special prayers were performed in front of the sacred Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala.
The vehicle received traditional blessings seeking the divine grace of Lord Venkateswara for its service in TTD activities.
Truck Keys Handed Over to TTD
On behalf of Ashok Leyland Limited, Company President Sri Sanjeev Kumar formally handed over the keys of the truck to TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary.
The ceremonial handover took place in the presence of TTD officials after offering prayers to the presiding deity of Tirumala.
Support for Devotee-Centric Services
TTD operates one of the largest temple administrations in the world and manages a wide range of transport and logistics services to support pilgrim welfare activities.
The newly donated vehicle is expected to assist TTD in carrying out various operational and service requirements more efficiently.
