Tirupati / Nandaluru, July 29, 2026: The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Soumyanatha Swamy Temple, Nandaluru, reached a spiritually significant stage with the grand Rathotsavam held on Wednesday morning.
Amid continuous chants of "Govinda... Govinda...", Vedic recitations, and devotional bhajans, Sri Soumyanatha Swamy, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, was taken in a magnificent procession on the beautifully decorated temple chariot through the village streets.
Devotees Pull the Sacred Chariot
Thousands of devotees enthusiastically participated in the Rathotsavam by pulling the sacred chariot with deep devotion.
Throughout the procession, devotees offered Harathi to the divine couple, creating an atmosphere filled with faith, devotion, and spiritual bliss.
Spiritual Significance of Rathotsavam
According to temple tradition, the Rathotsavam represents the journey of the human soul towards self-realization and liberation.
The sacred procession reminds devotees to surrender themselves to the Lord, overcome worldly attachments, and progress on the path of righteousness and devotion.
