Tirupati, June 9, 2026: In a landmark development for the propagation of Sanatana Dharma, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has officially taken possession of 10.33 acres of land allotted by the Assam Government for the construction of a Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Guwahati.

The project is expected to become a major spiritual center for devotees across Northeast India and marks a significant step in TTD’s mission to expand the divine presence of Lord Venkateswara across the nation.

10.33 Acres Allotted in Kamrup District

The land allotted by the Assam Government is situated in Sonapur Circle, located in Kamrup District near **Guwahati.

The allotment is part of a broader initiative aimed at establishing Sri Venkateswara Swamy temples in state capitals across India, enabling devotees from different regions to experience the blessings of Lord Srinivasa closer to their homes.

Vision for Expanding Sanatana Dharma

The initiative aligns with the vision of N. Chandrababu Naidu to promote spiritual awareness and strengthen the cultural roots of Sanatana Dharma throughout the country.
