Tirupati, June 23, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) performed the sacred Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam in a traditional and grand manner at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Appalayagunta, ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams.
The ritual was conducted according to Agama Shastra traditions to ceremonially purify and sanctify the temple before the commencement of the grand annual festival.
Temple Purified with Sacred Herbal Ingredients
During the ceremony, the temple premises, sanctum and surrounding areas were cleansed using aromatic herbal ingredients prepared as per ancient temple customs.
The sacred ritual symbolizes purification of the temple and is traditionally performed before major annual festivals.
Following the completion of Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam, devotees were allowed to have darshan of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy.
Brahmotsavams Begin with Ankurarpanam
The annual Brahmotsavams will formally commence with:

The festival will continue with Dhwajarohanam on June 25, marking the official beginning of the nine-day celebrations.
