Tirupati, May 29, 2026: The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati reached a spiritually vibrant phase on Friday as the Lord blessed devotees on the magnificent Surya Prabha Vahanam during the seventh day celebrations.
The Vahana Seva was conducted from 7 AM to 9 AM, symbolising the divine brilliance and life-giving energy of Surya Bhagavan. Thousands of devotees gathered along the temple streets to witness the sacred procession and receive the blessings of Sri Govindaraja Swamy.
The procession was accompanied by traditional devotional performances including Chekka Bhajans, Kolatam, Kerala Drum Troupes, and Mangala Vadyams, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Devotees enthusiastically offered Harathis and continuously chanted “Govinda, Govinda” throughout the Vahana Seva.
Snapana Tirumanjanam Performed with Sacred Offerings
Following the Vahana Seva, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi from 10 AM to 11 AM.
The sacred ritual included ceremonial offerings of:
- Milk
- Curd
- Honey
- Sandal Paste
- Fruit Juices
The Abhishekam was performed amid Vedic chants and devotional hymns, enhancing the spiritual significance of the Brahmotsavam celebrations.

One of the most anticipated events of the Brahmotsavam, the Grand Rathotsavam, will be held on May 30, 2026, at 5:40 AM. Thousands of devotees are expected to participate in the majestic chariot festival.
TTD officials, temple priests, and a large gathering of devotees participated in the Surya Prabha Vahanam Seva and sought the blessings of Sri Govindaraja Swamy.
