Tirupati, July 29, 2026: The Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati will celebrate a series of important religious festivals and traditional rituals throughout August 2026, providing devotees with numerous opportunities to participate in sacred ceremonies and receive the blessings of the deities.
Festival Schedule
🪷 August 5–14
Andal Tiruvadipuram Utsavam
The ten-day Andal Tiruvadipuram Utsavam will be celebrated with traditional rituals, special alankarams, daily processions, and devotional programmes dedicated to Sri Andal Ammavaru.
🌟 August 12
Tirunakshatram Celebrations
Special rituals will be performed on the Tirunakshatram of:
- Sri Chakrathalwar
- Sri Prativadi Bhayankaram Annan
🚩 August 16
Uttara Nakshatram Procession
On the occasion of Uttara Nakshatram, Sri Govindaraja Swamy, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, will bless devotees during a grand procession through the four Mada Streets.
🌸 August 21
Varalakshmi Vratam
The auspicious Varalakshmi Vratam will be observed with special rituals at the temple.
🌺 August 21 – 6:00 PM
Sri Andal Ammavaru Procession
Sri Andal Ammavaru will be taken in a ceremonial procession through the four Mada Streets, allowing devotees to receive Her divine blessings.

Sravana Nakshatram Procession
On Sravana Nakshatram, Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, will be taken in a grand procession through the four Mada Streets.
💦 August 28
Sravana Upakarma Celebrations
On the occasion of Sravana Upakarma:
- Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Sri Krishna Swamy will proceed to Alwar Theertham at Kapila Theertham in the morning for Snapana Tirumanjanam and Asthanam.
- In the evening, Sri Govindaraja Swamy, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, will participate in the Asthanam at the Sri Vaikhanasacharya Temple on R.S. Mada Street.
TTD has invited devotees to participate in these sacred festivals and seek the divine blessings of the deities throughout the holy month of August.
