Tirupati, May 1, 2026: The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Vedavalli Sameta Sri Vedanarayana Swamy Temple at Nagalapuram commenced grandly on Friday with the traditional Dhwajarohanam ceremony.
The auspicious ritual was performed according to Agama traditions amidst Vedic chanting, traditional temple music, and continuous chants of "Govinda... Govinda..." by devotees.
Dhwajarohanam Performed as per Tradition
The festivities began with Tiruchi Utsavam in the morning.
Later, during the auspicious Mesha Lagnam, the sacred Dhwajarohanam was performed after offering worship to Garutmanta. The Garuda flag was ceremonially hoisted on the temple Dhwajasthambam, marking the formal commencement of the Brahmotsavams.
Sacred Snapanam Tirumanjanam
Following Dhwajarohanam, Snapanam Tirumanjanam was performed to the deities using:
