Tirupati, June 4, 2026: The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavati Sameta Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Narayanavanam, reached a spiritually vibrant peak on Thursday morning with the grand celebration of Rathotsavam, one of the most significant events of the annual festival.

Thousands of devotees gathered to witness and participate in the sacred chariot procession, seeking the divine blessings of the Lord and Goddess Padmavati.

Devotees Pull the Sacred Temple Chariot

Amid resonating chants of “Govinda... Govinda...”, Vedic recitations, devotional bhajans and traditional temple music, devotees enthusiastically pulled the majestic temple chariot carrying the Utsava Murthies through the four Mada Streets surrounding the temple.

The Rathotsavam created a magnificent spiritual spectacle as devotees expressed their devotion by participating in the sacred procession.

Spiritual Significance of Rathotsavam

Rathotsavam occupies a special place in temple traditions and Brahmotsavam celebrations.

The divine chariot procession symbolizes the Lord coming closer to devotees and blessing all sections of society. Pulling the temple chariot is considered highly meritorious and is believed to bestow divine grace, prosperity and spiritual well-being.

The event also reflects the eternal bond between the Lord and His devotees.

Temple Town Filled with Devotional Fervour

The entire temple atmosphere was filled with devotion as thousands of pilgrims, devotees, bhajan groups and temple staff participated in the sacred festivities.

The sounds of Vedic hymns, devotional songs and Govinda Nama Sankeertana echoed throughout Narayanavanam, creating a spiritually uplifting environment.
