Tirupati, June 25, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has initiated a special action plan to further develop the historic Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Srinivasamangapuram and enhance facilities for devotees.

As part of the initiative, TTD Joint Executive Officer (JEO) Dr. A. Sharath visited the temple on Thursday and inspected the premises along with officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Development Works to Be Taken Up

During the inspection, the JEO reviewed the existing infrastructure and identified several works aimed at improving the overall pilgrim experience.

The proposed projects include:

🚰 Improvement of drinking water facilities

🚶 Expansion and strengthening of queue lines

🪜 Repair and renovation of temple steps

🛕 Construction of a new Yagasala

🍛 Construction of a Potu (Temple Kitchen)

ASI Approval Mandatory

Since the temple is an ancient protected monument, Dr. Sharath stated that all development works require approval from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

A comprehensive proposal will be prepared jointly with ASI officials and submitted for the necessary permissions before the execution of the projects.

Priority for Pilgrim Welfare

The JEO emphasized that the proposed works are intended to improve pilgrim convenience while preserving the temple's historical and architectural heritage.

He directed officials to complete the planning process at the earliest so that development works can begin immediately after receiving statutory approvals.
