Tirupati, August 15, 2026: The 80th Independence Day celebrations were held grandly at the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Saturday.

TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu hoisted the National Flag at the Parade Ground and received the guard of honour from TTD security personnel. The impressive parade was led by AVSO Sri Janardhan as Parade Commander.

38 Officers and 287 Employees Honoured

On the occasion, 38 officers and 281 employees from various TTD departments, along with six employees each from SVIMS and SVBC, were honoured for their outstanding service.

Each awardee was presented with a five-gram Srivari silver dollar and an appreciation certificate in recognition of their dedicated service.

62 Meritorious Students Receive Cash Awards

Cash awards were also presented to 62 meritorious children of TTD employees for their academic excellence.

Among them, 33 students who excelled in Intermediate received Rs.4,116 each, while 29 meritorious Class X students received Rs.2,116 each.

The awards recognised the academic achievements of the children of TTD employees.

Patriotic Cultural Programmes Draw Applause

Students of the SV College of Music and Dance presented colourful cultural performances to patriotic songs, including “Ye Desamegina, Endu Kaledina,” “Bhavatu Bharati” and “Adivo Alladivo.”

The students' performances, reflecting patriotism and India's rich cultural heritage, received appreciation from the gathering.

ఇందులో ఇంటర్మీడియట్‌లో అత్యుత్తమ ప్రతిభ కనబరిచిన 33 మంది విద్యార్థులకు ఒక్కొక్కరికి రూ.4,116, పదో తరగతిలో ప్రతిభ కనబరిచిన 29 మంది విద్యార్థులకు ఒక్కొక్కరికి రూ.2,116 చొప్పున నగదు పురస్కారాలు అందించారు.
