Tirupati, August 3, 2026: The sacred Aadi Krithika festival will be celebrated with religious fervour at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati on August 7.
Special rituals and a grand procession have been planned on the occasion, with devotees invited to participate and receive the blessings of Sri Subrahmanya Swamy.
Snapana Tirumanjanam to Sri Subrahmanya Swamy
As part of the Aadi Krithika celebrations, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed to the processional deities of Sri Subrahmanya Swamy along with Sri Valli and Sri Devasena from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The deities will be ceremonially bathed with sacred ingredients including:
- 🥛 Milk
- 🥣 Curd
- 🍯 Honey
- 🌿 Sandalwood
- 🌺 Other fragrant ingredients
The ritual will be conducted in accordance with temple traditions amid devotional prayers.
Thiruveedhi Utsavam in the Evening
The celebrations will continue in the evening with the Thiruveedhi Utsavam from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
During the procession, Sri Subrahmanya Swamy along with Valli and Devasena will bless devotees.
TTD has appealed to devotees to participate in large numbers in the Aadi Krithika celebrations at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple and seek the divine blessings of the Lord.
