Tirupati, June 24, 2026: The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Appalayagunta, commenced on an auspicious note with the traditional Ankurarpanam ceremony held on Wednesday evening.
The sacred ritual officially marked the beginning of the nine-day annual festival, which attracts devotees from across Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring states.
Traditional Rituals Performed
As part of the ceremonial proceedings, temple priests performed:
🌿 Medhini Puja
🛕 Senadhipati Utsavam
🌱 Ankurarpanam at the Yagasala
These rituals were conducted in accordance with Agama Shastra traditions, invoking divine blessings for the successful conduct of the Brahmotsavams.
Dwajarohanam on June 25
The annual Brahmotsavams will formally begin with Dwajarohanam on June 25, symbolizing the official commencement of the grand festival.
During the nine-day celebrations, Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy will bless devotees on various Vahanams, each carrying unique spiritual significance.
Garuda Vahanam Major Attraction
One of the most anticipated events of the festival will be the Garuda Vahanam, scheduled for June 29.
Thousands of devotees are expected to witness the grand procession and seek the divine blessings of the Lord.
