Tirupati, August 25, 2026: The Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, Tirupati, will observe the sacred Shravana Upakarma on August 28, coinciding with Shravana Pournami, as per Agama traditions.
Snapana Tirumanjanam at Alwar Theertham
At 6:30 AM, Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Sri Krishna Swamy will be taken in a ceremonial procession to Alwar Theertham at Kapila Theertham.
There, Snapana Tirumanjanam and Asthanam will be performed for the deities according to temple traditions.
Asthanam at Sri Vaikhanasacharya Temple
Later, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Sri Bhudevi will be offered Asthanam at the Sri Vaikhanasacharya Temple on R.S. Mada Street.
Following the Asthanam, the deities will return to the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple.
TTD Appeals to Devotees
TTD has appealed to devotees to participate in the sacred Shravana Upakarma and seek the divine blessings of Sri Govindaraja Swamy.
