Tirumala, August 23, 2026: The annual Pavitrotsavams commenced on a grand religious note at Tirumala on Sunday.
Snapana Tirumanjanam Performed
As part of the three-day Pavitrotsavams, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed on the first day to the processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi.
At the Kalyanotsava Mandapam, the Utsava Murthys were given sacred baths with various holy and aromatic ingredients amid the chanting of Vedic hymns by Veda Pundits.
Pavitra Pratista as per Vaikhanasa Agama
On the first day, Pavitra Pratista was performed by the temple priests as per the Vaikhanasa Agama traditions.
The rituals were conducted in a spiritually vibrant atmosphere, with devotees witnessing the sacred proceedings.
TTD Officials Participate
Both the Tirumala Pontiffs, TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravi Chandra, Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD Board Member Sri Nannapaneni Sadashiva Rao, Temple Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, other officials, staff and devotees participated in the celebrations.
