Tirupati, July 17, 2026: The annual Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavams commenced on a grand spiritual note at the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Srinivasamangapuram.
The three-day festival, which will continue until July 19, features a series of sacred rituals, Snapana Tirumanjanam, Unjal Seva, Vahana Sevas, and devotional cultural programmes.
Sacred Rituals on the Inaugural Day
The celebrations began with Suprabhata Seva in the early hours, followed by:
- Tomala Seva
- Koluvu
- Panchanga Sravanam
- Sahasranamarchana
- Bali
- Sattumora
- Abhishekam
Later, Anivara Asthanam, Snapana Tirumanjanam, and Unjal Seva were performed according to temple traditions.
Pedda Sesha Vahanam Draws Devotees
In the evening, Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy blessed devotees on the majestic Pedda Sesha Vahanam, which was taken in a grand procession through the four Mada Streets amid continuous chants of "Govinda... Govinda..."
The remaining Vahana Sevas are scheduled as follows:
- July 18: Hanumantha Vahanam (7:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
- July 19: Garuda Vahanam (7:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
Festival Concludes on July 20
The celebrations will conclude with the Parveta Utsavam on July 20 at 7:00 AM near Srivari Mettu, followed by a Special Asthanam.
Devotional Programmes
TTD's Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, Annamacharya Project, and SV College of Music and Dance are organising daily devotional music and cultural programmes throughout the festival.
The Sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavams commemorate the historic restoration of the ancient temple and the revival of regular worship, making the festival one of the shrine's most significant annual celebrations, next only to the Brahmotsavams.
Temple Special Grade Deputy EO Smt. Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Gopinath, Superintendent Sri Harikrishna, temple officials, priests, Srivari Sevaks and a large number of devotees participated in the inaugural celebrations.
