Tirupati, September 8, 2026: TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary said that devotee safety, comfort and amenities will receive the highest priority during the upcoming Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavams.
TTD, the Tirupati District Administration, Police and other concerned departments are working in close coordination to ensure that the annual festival is conducted on a grand scale without causing inconvenience to pilgrims.
On Tuesday, Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, along with the Tirupati District Collector, District SP and other officials, inspected arrangements being made in Tirupati for the Brahmotsavams.
Comprehensive Action Plan for Heavy Pilgrim Rush
The Additional EO said that special arrangements are being made in view of the large influx of devotees to Tirumala, particularly to facilitate pilgrims who wish to witness the various Vahana Sevas of Lord Venkateswara.
Key facilities planned at important locations across Tirupati include:
- Parking facilities
- Holding points
- Annaprasadam
- Drinking water
- Toilets
- Rest areas
- Public transport facilities
An action plan has also been prepared to enable authorities to take real-time decisions based on dynamic crowd conditions and emerging situations.
Integrated Command Control System
An Integrated Command Control system will be established to ensure that TTD, District Administration, Police, Municipal, Transport, Health and other departments operate as one coordinated team.
Based on experiences from previous Brahmotsavams, officials have made necessary modifications and additional arrangements, with particular emphasis on devotee safety and comfort.
A dedicated response team is also being prepared to respond promptly to social media updates, while separate disaster management and emergency response teams will be deployed to handle unforeseen situations.
Holding Points and Live Vahana Seva Screens
Tirupati District Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar said that TTD and the district administration are jointly making extensive arrangements.
Parking and holding points will be established at various locations in Tirupati. Depending on the congestion level, pilgrims heading towards Tirumala will be regulated through these holding areas.
Large display screens will be installed at the holding points to provide live feeds of the Vahana Sevas.
Devotees waiting at these locations will also be provided with Annaprasadam, drinking water, toilets and other essential amenities.
The Collector said the district administration is maintaining continuous coordination with TTD to ensure that pilgrims do not face difficulties.
Cameras and Drones for Comprehensive Surveillance
Tirupati District SP Sri L. Subbarayudu said TTD, Police, Revenue and District Administration officials are working in close coordination.
Since parking space at Tirumala is limited, designated parking hubs will be developed at strategic locations in Tirupati, with RTC shuttle buses deployed to transport pilgrims to Tirumala.
Key locations including:
- Railway Station
- Bus Stand
- Alipiri
- Srivari Mettu
will be continuously monitored through CCTV cameras and drones connected to the Tirupati Command Control system.
The inner and outer ring roads in Tirumala will also be managed efficiently. Nearly 3,000 CCTV cameras will be deployed for safety and crowd monitoring.
Enhanced Security at Alipiri and Footpaths
TTD Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Sri Muralikrishna said that parking, transit and security arrangements across Tirupati were inspected to ensure a smooth experience for the expected large number of pilgrims.
TTD Vigilance and Security personnel, Police and RTC staff will work together at key locations to provide enhanced services.
Security screening at the Alipiri Tollgate, as well as the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu trekking routes, is being strengthened.
ANPR and Facial Recognition Systems
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Facial Recognition System (FRS) cameras installed at Alipiri have been connected to the Tirumala Integrated Command Control Centre.
The system is equipped to identify and flag more than 1,500 listed offenders from the database.
Command control and sub-control units across Tirumala and Tirupati have also been interconnected to continuously monitor vehicular movement and parking availability.
Review Meeting and Ground-Level Inspections
Earlier, TTD Additional AEO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary chaired a review meeting with officials at the Sri Padmavathi Guest House in Tirupati.
Officials made a detailed PowerPoint presentation covering:
- Parking arrangements
- Traffic management
- Transport logistics
- Pilgrim movement
Following the meeting, officials conducted ground-level inspections at Devalok, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Alipiri Checkpoint and other important holding areas.
TTD JEOs Dr. A. Sharath and Sri P. Gopinath, CE Sri Mahanoram, VGO Sri Giridhara and other officials participated in the review and inspections.
Tirumala Brahmotsavams 2026
With the annual Srivari Brahmotsavams scheduled from September 15 to 23, TTD and the Tirupati district administration are strengthening crowd management, transportation, surveillance, security and pilgrim amenities across Tirupati and Tirumala.
The integrated approach is aimed at ensuring that devotees can participate in the Brahmotsavams safely and comfortably even during periods of heavy pilgrim movement.
