Tirupati, August 5, 2026: TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu has directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the Sri Varalakshmi Vratam at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanur, on August 21, ensuring a smooth and devotional experience for the thousands of devotees expected to participate.
Temple officials and priests met the TTD Chairman at his camp office in Tirumala on Wednesday and formally invited him to participate in the Sri Varalakshmi Vratam Mahotsavam.
Special Arrangements for Varalakshmi Vratam
Considering the expected pilgrim turnout, the Chairman instructed officials to ensure adequate arrangements for:
- Safe drinking water
- Annaprasadam
- Well-managed queue lines
- Security
- Sanitation
- Medical services
- Traffic management
He stressed that all TTD departments should work in close coordination so devotees can participate in the sacred vratam peacefully and without inconvenience.
Special Floral Decorations at Tiruchanur Temple
The Chairman also instructed officials to beautifully decorate Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple and the Asthana Mandapam with flowers for the occasion.
The decorations should enhance the devotional atmosphere and create a spiritually uplifting experience for devotees participating in the Varalakshmi Vratam.
Chairman Formally Invited to the Festival
Later, temple priests blessed Sri B.R. Naidu and his spouse with Vedic chants.
Temple Deputy EO Sri Harendranath presented the couple with silk garments and formally handed over the invitation for the Sri Varalakshmi Vratam Mahotsavam.
Temple priest Sri Babu Swamy and other officials were also present.
TTD is preparing for a large turnout of devotees at Tiruchanur on August 21 for one of the important religious celebrations dedicated to Goddess Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru.
