Tirumala Swami Pushkarini to Remain Closed for 40 Days Ahead of Srivari Brahmotsavams

Tirumala, July 24, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced that the sacred Swami Pushkarini, located adjacent to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, will undergo its annual repair and maintenance works from August 1 to August 31, 2026.

The maintenance is carried out every year ahead of the Srivari Brahmotsavams to ensure the sacred Pushkarini is ready for one of the temple's most important annual festivals.

Closure Until September 10

Following the completion of maintenance works, the Swami Pushkarini will remain closed from September 1 to September 10 as a precautionary measure against heavy rains, storms, and other adverse weather conditions.

No Pushkarini Harati or Devotee Entry

During the 40-day closure period (August 1 to September 10):

TTD Appeals for Devotees' Cooperation

The TTD Water Works Department is taking all necessary measures to complete the maintenance works before the commencement of the Srivari Brahmotsavams on September 15, 2026.

TTD has requested devotees to take note of the temporary closure and extend their cooperation during the maintenance period.
