Tirumala, August 20, 2026: With two Srivari Brahmotsavams scheduled this year due to Adhika Masam in September and October, TTD Executive Officer Sri Muddada Ravichandra directed all TTD departments, the district administration and police to work in close coordination and implement comprehensive plans for the successful conduct of the mega religious festival.
The EO chaired a coordination meeting on Srivari Brahmotsavams at Annamayya Bhavan, Tirumala, on Thursday. TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, District Collector Dr. Venkateshwar, SP Sri Subbarayudu and other senior officials attended the meeting.
Comprehensive Arrangements Reviewed
The Additional EO presented the planned arrangements through a detailed PowerPoint presentation.
The EO directed officials to take every necessary measure to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the Brahmotsavams. He stressed the importance of serving tasty and high-quality Annaprasadam without compromising standards, maintaining prompt sanitation and implementing stringent security measures for devotees’ safety.
Key Directives for Brahmotsavams
- Maintain a buffer stock of 10 lakh Srivari laddus for the Brahmotsavams.
- Make special arrangements for large crowds on Garuda Seva day.
- Operate additional APSRTC buses to manage increased pilgrim traffic.
- Identify and utilise dedicated Srivari Sevaks for festival services.
- Increase kitchen capacity and ensure timely procurement and transportation of essential commodities.
- Give special attention to illumination and floral decorations.
Field Inspection of Four Mada Streets
Following the meeting, the EO and other officials inspected the four Mada Streets around Srivari Temple and reviewed field-level arrangements.
The officials issued further instructions to the concerned departments to complete the remaining works within the stipulated time.
Special Focus on Garuda Seva
Speaking to the media later, Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary said the progress of ongoing works was reviewed and officials were instructed to complete pending works within the prescribed timeframe.
Based on recent experience, including Rathasapthami which witnessed around 3.75 lakh devotees and 15,000 vehicles, advance estimates have been prepared for the expected pilgrim rush.
The meeting reviewed crowd and vehicle management, health and sanitation, ghat-road management and emergency response arrangements in Tirumala and Tirupati.
Additional Kitchens for Annaprasadam
Special emphasis is being placed on Garuda Seva, when the pilgrim rush is expected to be particularly high.
During the previous Brahmotsavams, around 20 lakh food portions, multiple beverages and 15 varieties of menu items were provided on Garuda Seva day.
This year, additional kitchens will be arranged to meet the expected demand.
Disaster Management and Security Plans
The meeting also discussed comprehensive disaster and crisis management plans, including the deployment of NDRF and Emergency Response Teams.
Police officials outlined plans relating to personnel deployment, accommodation and duty allocation.
Security arrangements will be supervised by the TTD Vigilance Department and CVSO.
Cultural Programmes with 27 Troupes
The Brahmotsavam celebrations will also feature cultural programmes involving 27 troupes from 25 states, including two foreign troupes this year.
A comprehensive publicity campaign through SVBC, social media, print media and electronic media will be undertaken to showcase the Brahmotsavam celebrations and highlights across the country.
TTD JEOs Dr. A. Sarath and Sri Gopinath, CVSO Sri Murali Krishna and other officials participated in the meeting.
