Tirumala, July 28, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is taking major steps to expand the reach of Srivari Seva from the grassroots level across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, said TTD Executive Officer Sri M. Ravichandra.
The EO made these remarks while inaugurating the second phase of the Group Supervisors' Training Programme held on Tuesday at Srivari Seva Sadan-2 in Tirumala.
Vision for Wider Devotional Service
Addressing the Group Supervisors, the EO said the initiative is being implemented in line with the vision of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu, who has encouraged TTD to improve the quality of devotional services while making them accessible to more devotees.
He noted that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together are home to nearly 50,000 temples, creating immense opportunities for expanding the spirit of Srivari Seva beyond Tirumala.
Village-Level Srivari Seva
Sri Ravichandra urged Group Supervisors and Srivari Sevakulu to identify opportunities for voluntary service in:
- Village temples
- Community shrines
- Local religious institutions
He said the objective is to enable devotees to serve their own communities, in addition to rendering voluntary service at Tirumala.
Performance-Based Rating System
To further strengthen the Srivari Seva programme, TTD is developing a performance-based rating system, similar in concept to a credit score model, to evaluate the service rendered by Srivari Sevakulu.
The proposed system aims to:
- Ensure transparent duty allocation
- Recognize dedicated volunteers
- Improve service quality
- Enhance operational efficiency
Suggestions from Supervisors
During the interactive session, Group Supervisors shared several practical suggestions for:
- Expanding Srivari Seva to the village level
- Improving facilities for pilgrims visiting Tirumala
- Enhancing the overall volunteer management system
The EO invited additional recommendations to further strengthen the programme.
