Tirupati, July 24, 2026: The Pontiff of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji, said that the 'Nandividya Nateswari' programme was conceived with the noble vision of "Taking Dharma to the People", inspiring students with Indian culture, Sanatana Dharma, moral values, and traditional arts.
Swamiji delivered his blessings virtually from the Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, addressing participants of the programme jointly organised by TTD, Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP), and Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.
Expanded to 100 Schools
The programme, which uniquely combines Mridangam and Classical Indian Dance, aims to instill:
- Discipline
- Cultural awareness
- Ethical values
- Respect for Indian traditions
After its successful launch in 50 schools in December 2025, the initiative has now been expanded to 100 schools across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including Government schools and TTD educational institutions, with special emphasis on Tirupati.
Swamiji explained that the name 'Nandividya Nateswari' is derived from the 733rd and 734th names of Sri Lalita Sahasranamam.
The programme was conducted simultaneously at 100 venues on July 23, receiving an overwhelming response from students, teachers, and parents.
TTD Promotes Sanatana Dharma Among Youth
As part of its mission to strengthen Sanatana Dharma among the younger generation, HDPP extended financial assistance for the programme.
Students also received Pustaka Prasadam containing:
- Sri Venkateswara Suprabhatam
- Vishnu Sahasranamam
- Govinda Namalu
These spiritual books were distributed free of cost to encourage devotional learning.
Eminent Artistes Felicitated
On the occasion, TTD Executive Officer Sri Muddada Ravichandra and JEO Dr. A. Sharath felicitated:
- Padma Vibhushan Dr. Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman, legendary Mridangam maestro
- Smt. Revathi Ram Mohan, renowned Bharatanatyam exponent
Their captivating performances were warmly appreciated by the audience.
Later, the dance ballet 'Ashta Lakshmi Vaibhavam', presented by the faculty, students, and alumni of SV College of Music and Dance, Tirupati, received widespread applause.
The programme concluded with enthusiastic participation from teachers, students, devotees, and cultural enthusiasts.
