Tirupati, July 29, 2026: The Ankurarpanam ritual for the annual Pushpa Yagam of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Appalayagunta, was performed on Wednesday evening in accordance with Agama Shastra traditions.
The sacred ceremony formally marked the commencement of the annual Pushpa Yagam, one of the important temple festivals dedicated to Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy.
Rituals Held Before Pushpa Yagam
Earlier in the day, the temple conducted Acharya Ritwik Varanam, while the evening rituals included:
- 🌿 Medini Puja
- 🛡️ Senadhipati Utsavam
- 🌱 Ankurarpanam
These traditional rituals invoke divine blessings and spiritually prepare the temple for the grand Pushpa Yagam.
July 30 Festival Schedule
The annual Pushpa Yagam will be celebrated on Thursday, July 30, as per the following schedule:
- 🕚 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon: Snapana Tirumanjanam to the Utsava deities of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi.
- 🌸 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Pushpa Yagam with sacred floral offerings.
- 🚩 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Tiruchi Procession of the Lord with Sridevi and Bhudevi through the four Mada Streets, blessing devotees.
