Tirupati, July 24, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Sri Muddada Ravichandra instructed officials of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) to develop creative, engaging, and spiritually enriching programmes that inspire devotion among devotees across the globe.
During a review meeting held on Friday with TTD JEO and SVBC CEO Dr. A. Sharath, the EO assessed the channel's daily broadcasts and reviewed upcoming programme plans.
Focus on Tirumala's Spiritual Heritage
The EO suggested producing easy-to-understand programmes showcasing the rich spiritual heritage of Tirumala, including:
- Tirumala temples
- Ancient Mandapams
- Sacred Prakarams
- Holy Theerthams
- Sub-shrines
- Srivari Prasadams
He said these programmes should effectively communicate the divine glory of Lord Sri Venkateswara and the spiritual significance of Tirumala to devotees of all age groups.
More Innovative Content for Global Devotees
Noting that millions of devotees around the world watch SVBC, Sri Ravichandra stressed that every programme should be:
- Spiritually inspiring
- Informative
- Interesting
- Produced with the highest quality standards
He also directed officials to introduce more innovative devotional content based on the interests and expectations of devotees.
Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja to Expand
During the meeting, Dr. A. Sharath informed the EO that the recently launched "Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja" programme, introduced with the support of the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP), has received an overwhelming response.
Following its success, the programme will now be expanded to rural areas.
He also announced that several special spiritual, religious, and cultural programmes featuring renowned artists from across India are being planned during the upcoming Srivari Brahmotsavams.
Inspection of SVBC Facilities
Before the review meeting, the EO visited the SVBC model temple, inspected the broadcasting studios, editing sections, and spiritual content production units, and offered valuable suggestions to improve programme quality.
He also advised staff to use electricity and air conditioners responsibly and interacted with sanitation workers to enquire about their welfare.
