Tirupati / Devuni Kadapa, August 26, 2026: The Ashtabandhana Maha Samprokshanam of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Devuni Kadapa was performed in a grand and devotional manner on Wednesday as per Agama traditions. TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravichandra participated in the sacred ceremony.
Maha Purnahuti and Mahasamprokshanam
As part of the renovation rituals, Chatushthanarchana, Murthi Homam and Prayaschitta Homam were performed from 7 AM.
Later, from 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM, temple priests performed Maha Purnahuti, Maha Samprokshanam and Kalakarshana during the auspicious Shravana Nakshatra and Tula Lagna.
The Mahasamprokshanam was performed amid Vedic chants and auspicious temple music. Special prayers were offered for the restoration of the sanctity and glory of the temple.
Darshan Resumes for Devotees
Following the completion of the Maha Samprokshanam, darshan of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy resumed for devotees.
TTD EO Offers Prayers at Vontimitta
Earlier, TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravichandra offered prayers to Sri Kodandarama Swamy at Vontimitta.
The temple priests accorded him a traditional welcome and performed special rituals. He was later presented with Teertha Prasadam.
The priests also explained the spiritual and historical significance of the Vontimitta temple to the EO.
JEO Dr. A. Sharath, Temple Deputy EO Smt. A. Prashanthi, AEO Sri Ravi, Superintendent Sri Hanumanthayya, Temple Inspector Sri Eshwar Reddy, temple priests and other officials participated in the programmes.
