Tirumala, July 22, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) celebrated the traditional Pallavotsavam with religious fervour on Wednesday in connection with the birth anniversary celebrations of the Maharaja of Mysore, continuing a long-standing spiritual tradition between the Mysore Royal Family and the Tirumala temple.
Grand Procession to Karnataka Choultry
Following the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva, the processional deities Sri Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, were taken in a ceremonial procession to the Karnataka Choultry.
At the choultry, representatives of the Mysore Royal Family offered traditional temple rituals to the deities as part of the annual observance.
Special Harathi and Religious Rituals
Officials of the Government of Karnataka, along with members of the Mysore Royal Family, formally welcomed the deities and offered a special Harathi.
The celebrations also included special pujas, Naivedyam, and the distribution of Prasadam to devotees, allowing pilgrims to participate in the sacred festivities.

The event was attended by TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD Board Members Sri Naresh Kumar and Sri Darshan, Temple Peishkar Sri Ramakrishna, temple officials, and devotees.
The annual Pallavotsavam continues to reflect the centuries-old spiritual and cultural bond between the Mysore Royal Family and the sacred shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara at Tirumala.
