Tirupati, 17 April 2026 – The Patra Pushpa Yagam will be conducted with grandeur at the Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati on 1 May 2026. The Ankurarpana ritual is scheduled for the evening of 30 April at 6:00 PM, marking the formal beginning of the festival proceedings.

1 May, 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM: Snapan Tirumanjanam, Maha Poornahuti, and Kalashabhishekam will be performed for Sri Kapileswara Swamy and Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru using sacred substances such as milk, curd, honey, Panchamritam, sugarcane juice, coconut water, vibhuti, turmeric, and sandalwood.

1 May, 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon: The Patra Pushpa Yagam will take place, with offerings of flowers like chrysanthemum, oleander, mogali, champak, jasmine, rose, lotus, and kanakambaram, along with sacred leaves such as bilva, tulasi, and paneer leaves.

1 May, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: The Tiruveedhi Utsavam of Sri Chandrasekhara Swamy and Manmohini Ammavaru will be held in the evening, delighting devotees with the temple procession.
Religious significance
Temple priests explained that Patra Pushpa Yagam is performed not only for universal welfare but also as a ritual to atone for any lapses committed by priests, attendants, officials, and devotees inside the temple. The event therefore combines worship, purification, and communal well-being in a single observance.
This annual ritual continues the long tradition of Kapileswara Swamy Temple festivals, where sacred offerings and procession sevas draw devotees from Tirupati and surrounding areas.

మే 1, ఉదయం 7:00 నుంచి 9:00 వరకు: శ్రీ కపిలేశ్వరస్వామి, శ్రీ కామాక్షి అమ్మవార్లకు స్నపన తిరుమంజనం, మహాపూర్ణాహుతి, కలశాభిషేకం జరుగుతుంది. దీనిలో పాలు, పెరుగు, తేనె, పంచామృతం, చెరకు రసం, కొబ్బరి నీరు, విభూతి, పసుపు, చందనం వంటి పవిత్ర పదార్థాలతో అభిషేకం చేస్తారు.
