Tirupati, August 14, 2026: A grand Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja was organised by TTD and SVBC at the SVCR Government Junior College premises in Palamaner on Friday evening.
Thousands of women devotees from Palamaner and surrounding areas participated in the programme with great devotion.

TTD JEO Dr. A. Sharath said that a lamp brings light not only to homes but also to society.
He prayed that with the blessings of Sri Mahalakshmi Devi, every family would be blessed with happiness, peace and prosperity.
He said devotees worship Sri Mahalakshmi, the Goddess of wealth and prosperity, with lamps seeking good health, happiness, peace and abundance in every home.
Such spiritual programmes help strengthen devotion and faith in Sanatana Dharma, he added.

Local MLA Sri N. Amarnath Reddy said it was a matter of great happiness to organise the Sri Mahalakshmi Deepotsavam in Palamaner.
He congratulated the thousands of women devotees who participated and contributed to the grand success of the event.
He said the college premises became spiritually vibrant and illuminated with the glow of thousands of lamps and prayed for the continued blessings of Sri Mahalakshmi Devi upon all people.
Rituals Performed as per Agama Tradition
The priests performed Vishwaksena Puja, Punyahavachanam and Srinivasa Archana as per Agama tradition.
Special worship was offered to Sri Mahalakshmi Devi, followed by the Deepa Puja performed collectively by the devotees.
Vedic chanting, Lakshmi Stotra recitations and the glow of thousands of lamps created a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Devotees prayed for the health, happiness and prosperity of every family.
Promoting Devotion and Spiritual Awareness
The priests said the Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja aims to promote spiritual awareness among devotees, uphold the values of Sanatana Dharma and strengthen devotion.
The programme was telecast live by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC).
SVBC Chairman Sri Sridhar Varma, DPP Secretary Dr. Medasani Mohan, officials, priests, staff and a large number of devotees participated in the programme.
