Tirupati, August 3, 2026: TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu, along with his wife, visited the renowned Sri Vedanarayana Swamy Temple at Nagalapuram in Tirupati district on Monday and offered prayers to the presiding deity.
The couple participated in special rituals performed to Sri Vedanarayana Swamy, who is worshipped at the temple as Matsya Avatar, the first incarnation among the Dashavataras of Lord Mahavishnu.
Special Prayers for Public Welfare
During the visit, the TTD Chairman prayed for the well-being of the people and the promotion of Sanatana Dharma.
TTD Board Members Sri Shantaram and Sri Naresh also accompanied the Chairman and had darshan of Sri Vedanarayana Swamy.
Spiritual Significance of Nagalapuram Temple
Temple priests explained to the Chairman the spiritual significance, traditions and history of Sri Vedanarayana Swamy Temple.
The Nagalapuram shrine holds special religious importance as Lord Mahavishnu is worshipped here in His Matsya Avatar, symbolising the divine incarnation associated with the protection of Dharma and sacred knowledge.
Vedic Blessings and Theertha Prasadam
Following the darshan, temple officials traditionally honoured the Chairman and his wife.
Vedic scholars offered Veda Ashirvachanam, while the couple was also presented with Theertha Prasadam of Sri Vedanarayana Swamy.
