Tiruchanoor, 23 April 2026 – Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) inaugurated a new First Aid Centre at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor on Thursday, 23 April 2026, with special prayers for the convenience and safety of devotees. The centre has been set up near the temple premises to provide immediate basic medical services amidst the steadily increasing number of pilgrims visiting the Ammavari shrine.

Working hours and services

  • The First Aid Centre will operate in two shifts:

    • 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

    • 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
This ensures coverage during the peak darshan hours at the temple.

  • The centre will offer:

    • First aid and basic medical treatment for common ailments.

    • Emergency care for sudden illness or injury.

    • Initial stabilization of critical patients, followed by transfer to higher medical facilities (such as SVIMS or Ruia) if required.

Team and infrastructure

  • The facility is staffed by TTD’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. B. Kusumakumari, along with doctors and paramedical staff, who were present at the inauguration.

  • The centre complements TTD’s existing network of seven first‑aid centres and five dispensaries around Tirumala and Tiruchanoor, aimed at strengthening pilgrim‑health security during high‑rush festivals and daily darshan.

TTD authorities emphasized that devotees and staff visiting Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple should promptly approach this First Aid Centre in case of any health issue, in line with TTD’s broader goal of “health‑safe yatras”.
