Tirupati, July 9, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will celebrate the annual Anivara Asthanam in a grand and traditional manner at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple and Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati on July 17.
Anivara Asthanam is a sacred annual court ceremony observed on the last day of the Tamil month of Aani. During the Mahant administration, it traditionally marked the commencement of the temple's annual accounts and administrative activities.
Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple Programme
At Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, the Asthanam will be held from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Bangaru Vakili.
The ceremony will be conducted in the divine presence of Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi.
As part of the tradition, new silk garments will be brought in a ceremonial procession from Sri Pundarikavalli Ammavari Temple and offered to the Lord.
Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple Programme
At Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, the Anivara Asthanam will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM before Garudalwar for the Utsava deities of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy with Sita and Lakshmana.
Following the Asthanam, new garments will be ceremonially offered to both the presiding deity and the Utsava deities.
Traditional Ceremony
The sacred ceremony will be attended by the Tirumala Jeeyar Swamys, temple priests, and TTD officials.
TTD has invited devotees to participate in this annual traditional festival and receive the divine blessings of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy.
