Tirupati, August 7, 2026: The auspicious Aadi Krithika festival was celebrated with great religious fervour at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Friday, attracting a large number of devotees.
Special rituals were performed to Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swamy along with Sri Valli and Sri Devasena as part of the sacred celebrations.
Special Snapana Tirumanjanam
In the morning, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the processional deities of Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swamy, Sri Valli and Sri Devasena.
During the sacred ritual, the deities were ceremonially anointed with:
- Milk
- Curd
- Honey
- Sandalwood paste
- Other fragrant substances
The ritual was performed amid a devotional atmosphere in the temple.
Following the Snapana Tirumanjanam, Abhishekam was performed to the presiding deity.
Tiruveedhi Utsavam
As part of the Aadi Krithika festivities, Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swamy along with Sri Valli and Sri Devasena will be taken in a Tiruveedhi Utsavam through the temple streets, blessing devotees with divine darshan.
A large gathering of devotees participated in the celebrations and witnessed the special rituals.
Temple Deputy EO Smt. Nagaratna, Superintendent Sri Chandrasekhar, temple priests, officials, staff and devotees participated in the Aadi Krithika celebrations.
