Tirupati, July 3, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) formally launched the “Akshara Govindam–Annaprasanam” programme at Sri Vakulamatha Temple, Tirupati, on Friday to provide children with a sacred beginning to education and life under the divine blessings of Lord Venkateswara.
The programme is designed to combine Aksharabhyasam (initiation into education) and Annaprasanam (first feeding ceremony) in a spiritually enriching temple environment.
Programme Inaugurated by TTD Chairman and EO
TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer Sri M. Ravichandra inaugurated the programme by blessing the participating children.
They also distributed Akshara Govindam Kits, containing educational and devotional materials, free of cost to all participating children.
The Chairman appealed to every Hindu family to make use of this unique spiritual initiative for their children.
New Pilgrim Amenities Complex Opened
Following the inaugural programme, the Chairman and EO also inaugurated the new Pilgrim Amenities Complex constructed at a cost of ₹2 crore to enhance facilities for devotees visiting the temple.
The new facility is expected to improve pilgrim comfort and provide better amenities for families visiting Sri Vakulamatha Temple.
