Tirupati / Nandalur, July 31, 2026: The annual Pushpayagam was performed with great religious fervour at Sri Soumyanatha Swamy Temple, Nandalur, on Friday following the successful conclusion of the temple's annual Brahmotsavams.
The sacred ritual was conducted as a Prayaschitta (atonement) for any inadvertent omissions that may have occurred during the conduct of the annual Brahmotsavam rituals and festivities.
One Tonne of Flowers Offered to the Lord
Nearly one tonne of fragrant flowers was offered to Sri Soumyanatha Swamy amid the chanting of Vedic hymns and traditional temple music.
Temple priests performed special worship using:
- 🌸 18 varieties of flowers
- 🌿 Six varieties of sacred leaves
The colourful floral offerings transformed the temple into a spiritually vibrant atmosphere, filling devotees with devotion and divine bliss.
Veedhi Utsavam Concludes the Celebrations
After the Pushpayagam, the beautifully decorated deity blessed devotees during the Veedhi Utsavam, which was held amid continuous chanting of "Govinda... Govinda..." by devotees.
Large numbers of devotees participated in the sacred celebrations and received the blessings of Sri Soumyanatha Swamy.
