Tirumala, August 6, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has intensified preparations for the twin Srivari Brahmotsavams scheduled to be held in Tirumala during September and October 2026, with special emphasis on pilgrim safety, transportation, parking, crowd management and security.
TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the two major religious festivals.
A comprehensive review meeting on the Brahmotsavam arrangements was held at Sudharma Conference Hall in Tirumala on Thursday.
The Additional EO reviewed the preparations along with TTD JEO Dr. A. Sharath, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna and Tirupati District SP Sri Subbarayudu.
More RTC Buses During Brahmotsavams
Considering the massive pilgrim influx expected during the festivals, officials were instructed to increase the number of RTC buses as required.
The measure is aimed at facilitating smooth transportation and reducing inconvenience to devotees travelling to and from Tirumala during peak days.
Dedicated Parking Plan
TTD will identify and pre-allocate parking areas before the festivals.
Officials were directed to prepare a dedicated parking operations plan to prevent congestion and ensure devotees do not face difficulties in finding parking spaces during the Brahmotsavams.
Child Tags to Prevent Missing Children
Special emphasis was placed on the wider distribution of identification tags for children.
The initiative is intended to help reunite children quickly with their parents or guardians if they become separated in the heavy crowds during major Vahana Sevas.
Electrical and Fire Safety Measures
Officials were instructed to maintain utmost vigilance over electrical cables and temporary power arrangements installed for the Brahmotsavams.
Continuous monitoring should be undertaken to prevent electrical hazards.
TTD also directed departments to complete all fire safety arrangements well in advance and keep the required equipment and personnel ready throughout the festivities.
Special Arrangements for Garuda Vahanam and Chakrasnanam
TTD expects exceptionally large crowds during important events such as Garuda Vahanam and Chakrasnanam.
Officials have therefore been directed to make comprehensive arrangements covering crowd management, transportation, security and essential pilgrim services to ensure devotees face minimal inconvenience.
The Tirupati JEO informed the meeting that preparatory discussions have already been conducted with concerned officials and several recommendations have been made to effectively manage the expected pilgrim footfall, particularly during Garuda Seva.
Artists from 25 States, Singapore and Germany
The 2026 Brahmotsavams are also set to feature a diverse range of cultural performances.
According to the JEO, cultural art troupes representing 25 Indian states are expected to participate.
In addition, artists from Singapore and Germany have been invited, and arrangements are being made for their participation in the festivities.
Security Plan Reviewed
The TTD CVSO and Tirupati District SP presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining the security arrangements and safety measures proposed for the mega religious festivals.
TTD In-Charge CE Sri Manoharam, Deputy EOs Sri Rajendra and Sri Bhaskar, CMO Dr. Kusuma Kumari, DFO Sri Phani Kumar Naidu, Tirumala ASP Sri Ramakrishna, VGO Sri Surendra and officials from various departments participated in the review meeting.
